IC Information: Mukuro Ikusaba Dossier
Jun. 27th, 2013 09:43 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Mukuro's realised that a lot of the people who are coming into Smash Academy from Hope's Peak Academy are not from her timeline (Dangan Ronpa IF, where everyone survives). Since she's apparently dead in the "normal" timeline where everyone else is from, Mukuro will be giving a dossier to the relevant Hope's Peak Academy students. This is given in the strictest confidence. THIS HAS SPOILERS FOR DANGAN RONPA, SUPER DANGAN RONPA 2, DANGAN RONPA ZERO and DANGAN RONPA IF. If you are not interested in seeing those, do not read on.
The relatively non spoiler(y) version of what Mukuro will give is this:
- She's really Mukuro Ikusaba and she's really sorry for lying to you.
- She's a Super High School Level Soldier, but when you met her in the entrance hall she was dressed as Junko Enoshima, her twin sister.
- She was a part of Super High School Level Despair. Was. Not Is.
- Your memories are erased, 78th class of Hope's Peak Academy! Mukuro, Junko and Naegi are the only ones in her timeline that remember everything. We really knew each other for 2 years. She will help you remember as many things as you can.
- Where she came from, nobody died because Naegi got the emergency switch
- She made sure this was the case by doing the graduation exam.
- She is aware that contradicts the events where she died from the Spears of Gungnir. This didn't happen this time because Naegi saved her life and she is indebted to him and the rest of you guys.
- That doesn't matter because she really wants to be friends with you and protect you all with her life now.

Greetings, fellow member of the 78th Class of Hope's Peak Academy. My name is Mukuro Ikusaba.
I first must apologise for deceiving you. I know you but you do not, or may not know of me. Thus I beg for your patience.
I give you my word that all that shall follow is the truth. I have no reason to lie after all.
I was accepted for my skill as a Super High School Level Soldier. I have a twin sister, her name is Junko Enoshima. She is a Super High School Level Gal, but that is just an act. Her true title is Super High School Level Despair.
And that is where this story begins.
Junko wanted nothing more but despair, to feel nothing but it. For it to tear her into two, to wreck her soul and her body until she was composed of nothing but the most A-grade despair.
There was a terrible event. The Worst, Most Despair-Inducing Incident in the History of Mankind. Izuru Kamakura, the one they called Super High School Level Hope, had murdered the student council of Hope's Peak Academy. Jin Kirigiri, the Headmaster of the school decided to cover this up. Nobody would know, least of all the Reserve Class.
But my sister revealed this fact to the entirety of the school. The Reserve Class had resent in them. They paid more than the gifted students and were treated like second class students. They came to Hope's Peak Academy because of the prestige, so that the board of directors could fund their studies into genius...
The carnage began. The Reserve Students revolted. More lives were lost in the school. They proceeded to kill mercilessly, to feel despair in the same way Junko did. They were the group Super High School Level Despair. The atrocities that were committed, I cannot explain without it making me feel wretched.
The violence spread from beyond the confines of the school. Jin Kirigiri took another drastic decision. The survivors were limited. The school was prepared for emergencies and he asked one question to the entirety of the 78th Class:
"Do you agree to spend the rest of your lives in Hope's Peak Academy?"
And all of you said yes.
The game began, for Jin Kirigiri failed to realise the threat was in his school.
My sister, in wanting to create the most despair in the world, had erased your memories and placed you into a game - the game of a school life of mutual killing. A game where you would be forced to kill each other. Because you were her beloved classmates, the ones she treasured the most, she would love nothing more than the despair killing each other caused.
I was originally privy to it. I dressed up as her with the intent of joining the game as Junko Enoshima. I had dressed up as her before, paraded around the school as her to disguse the fact that she was attempting to learn the secrets of the memory erasure technique. But this was... this was something different. I was to behave as her in front of you all, directly.
I knew no better, I had no will of my own to resist. My place is to follow orders, not to question them. Because I had grown up with her, I believed that my job was to help her fulfill her despair even though I felt no despair myself. I agreed to it, never questioning the morality of what I did.
We introduced ourselves to each other for the second time in the Entrance Hall of Hope's Peak Academy. But not as myself. As Junko Enoshima. As Junko, my genius sister. Again, I apologise for the deception.
The plan was that I would cause some rebellion and I would disappear under the guise of being "punished." I would continue to cause havoc to spur you all to murder each other, with the whole world watching.
But Junko betrayed me.
As I stepped on the bear doll she controlled, Monobear summoned the Spears of Gungnir to impale me to death.
This is where our memories may differ, as most of you remember that I was stabbed and lay bleeding in the gymnasium floor to my death.
However, in my memories, Makoto Naegi pushed me out of the way, with a cry of my name. My real name. I was saved, but Naegi was wounded. He remembered me, he remembered who I was and he asked me why I was dressed as my sister.
He had gotten the Emergency Switch from the school store earlier. Part of him being "Super High School Level Good Luck." He also managed to regain his memories. I do not know of the exact mechanism but retrieving the switch had something to do with it.
In that instance, I had to save him. When he fell to the ground, that is the first time I felt true despair. And I would never be able to forget it.
Junko then attempted to turn you against me and Naegi. She said that me and him were terrorists. Naegi was going to die. I had no other choice but to force my way through. We had escaped to the infirmary, but only after I had awakened Genocider Syo as a diversion (I apologise profusely to you, Touko Fukawa.).
The next events passed so quickly, but I shall commit them here to the best of my ability.
Kyouko Kirigiri and Chihiro Fujisaki came to the infirmary on the pretext of "searching for clues." It is a testament to Kirigiri's skill as a detective that she knew that me and Naegi were still there. She listened to my story, and Fujisaki recorded it.
I had attempted to break my way into the outside world, through those heavy doors but Monobear stopped me at every turn. My sister fought me. She taunted me.
It was thanks to Sakura Oogami and Mondo Oowada that I am still standing here. They listened to what Naegi said, trusted him and came to my aid.
And we were to escape.
But Junko had set a graduation exam for us.
Fifteen seconds to retrieve a switch to open a door. The hall would be filled with Monobears that would explode at the slightest contact. A hundred of them.
I... trusted you all. And with that trust, I managed to do the exam on my own. I would let nobody else do it, for I owe my lives to you all. I had gotten the switch.
And we had departed for the outside world.
I write this in the hope that we can rebuild our friendship once again and that if the threat of Despair should come to here, I shall protect you with my life. I vowed to make Junko happy, and to do that I would make her despair to the greatest depths. I vowed that I would keep all my friends alive. I would kill all of the group Super High School Level Despair to keep this promise.
I am but a mere soldier, but I have my honour and I beg for your understanding.
